General Information
The AFCEA - Las Vegas Chapter invites you to join a special event at Creech Air Force Base in May 2020. Creech AFB - AFCEA Las Vegas Tech, Tactical & Cyber Day is an excellent opportunity for information technology and cybersecurity companies to network face-to-face with Creech AFB personnel, while building trust and brand recognition.
Participating providers can expect to meet with personnel with titles like CST, Cyber Ops, Cyber Transport Tech, Executive Officer, GLO and ISSO. In the past, this event has seen strong support from the following groups:
- 12 AF Det 3: 12th Air Force Detachment 3-Persistent Attack and Reconnaissance Operations Center
- 30 RS: 30th Reconnaissance Squadron
- 432 ACMS: 432nd Aircraft Communication Maintenance Squadron
- 432 OSS: 432nd Operations Support Squadron
About the AFCEA Las Vegas Chapter:
AFCEA is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence and global security.
The AFCEA - Las Vegas Chapter serves the intelligence and IT communities in the greater Las Vegas area including Nellis AFB, Creech AFB, the Nevada Test and Training Range, local contractors, and businesses. Chapter leaders are located at Nellis in the 99th Communications Squadron and 57th Information Aggressor Squadron.
About Creech AFB:
Creech AFB, located 45 minutes NW of Nellis AFB, incorporates aircrew training and the supporting, directing and coordination of combat sorties halfway across the world. The host unit at Creech is the 432d Wing, which has six operational squadrons and one maintenance squadron.
Creech is home to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battlelab. The base also hosts the operations of the 556th Test and Evaluation Squadron and 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron, and those of the Air Force Reserve's 78th Reconnaissance Squadron and Nevada Air National Guard's 232d Operations Squadron.

From I-15 North - Las Vegas Strip:
- Creech AFB is 1 mile northwest of the community of Indian Springs, Nev., and about 50 miles northwest of the city of Las Vegas (approximately 1 hour drive from Las Vegas, NV
- Take the I-15 North to Exit 42A
- Take Exit 42A to MERGE onto US-95 N toward Reno (stay on US-95 N for approximately 45 miles)
- Turn RIGHT when you see signs for the Commercial/Visitors Entrance. (If you come to the small town of Indian Springs you have gone too far)
- Be prepared to show your current drivers’ license to the Gate Guard at the Commercial/Visitors Entrance and reference the "AFCEA Technology Day at the Guardian Dining Facility".
- The roads at Creech AFB are not marked on the part of the base we will be accessing. Maps will be e-mailed out to all participants the week prior to the event and distributed at the Nellis event.
- Once on base follow the access road until you reach the roundabout in front of the 432WG HQ Building. Make the first RIGHT turn off the roundabout and the Guardian Dining Facility, Building 1210 will be the first building on your LEFT with the large parking lot across the street.
- Park in the large parking lot.
Public Transportation
Public transportation such as Ubers or Taxis will not be allowed to access Creech AFB
Parking and Equipment
Equipment can be wheeled in from the parking lot across from the Dining Facility.
Ample open parking is available.
