Theme: Applications and Implications of the ILR Skill Level Descriptions
The Foreign Language Program Office (FLPO) of the Office of the Director of the National Intelligence (ODNI)
and the National Cryptologic School are pleased to announce that the Assessment LEARN workshop will be held Tuesday,
16 September, through Friday, 19 September at the 4H Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We are looking forward to hearing
from instructors, course or curriculum developers and testing professional on a wide range of topics related to the theme
“Applications and Implications of the ILR Skill Level Descriptions.” Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
curriculum development and testing; technology and testing; validity evidence; tester training; rubrics; intersection of
proficiency and performance; standard setting task-based assessment; self-assessment; peer assessment; formative assessment;
and diagnostic assessment.
The Assessment LEARN Workshop is open to instructors, course developers, testing professionals, and other language professionals of all languages from any USG-affiliated institution. No vendors will be allowed to participate.
Funding for any associated travel expenses will be the responsibility of each attendee’s organization.
