Department of Health and Human Services Cybersecurity Awareness Forum

The Cybersecurity Awareness Forum will take place at the HHS HQ building in Washington, DC in the Great Hall and Auditorium. There will be a series of speakers within the auditorium, both government and industry. Please contact your FBC representative if you have a topic that matches the technologies of interest. Past cyber events have attracted approximately 80-100 personnel for the sessions and other Federal Agencies will be invited to the event.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Security Awareness Forum & Training Exercise

October marks the 11th anniversary of National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Established by presidential directive in 2004, the initiative—administered by the Department of Homeland Security—raises cyber security awareness across the nation. The Forum is scheduled for October 7, 2014, and will address information security (IS) issues relating to CMS, your children and home. This will be open to all CMS employees, contractors and other federal agencies; and we will also have vendor participation.

NRO IT Planning Conference

The NRO ITPC is an annual event designed for the collection of user needs and gaps and offers a venue for informal dialogue between NRO Directorates and Offices (D&O) and CIO architecture and sub-portfolio managers responsible for delivering IT capability to the field. The conference is a two-day event with perspectives on architecture and current portfolio management planning, followed by the delivery and discussion of D&O IT capability gaps and opportunities.
