Who provides our nation with its strategic scientific and technological capabilities?
It's a large, dedicated group of professionals at 17 Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories. This elite group executes long-term government scientific and technological missions, often with complex security, safety, project management, or other operational challenges. And once a year, these colleagues get together for the NLIT (National Laboratories Information Technology) Summit to discuss IT and cyber security issues that are unique to the national laboratory system.
A 3-day event, NLIT Summit facilitates an exchange of information management, best practices, strategies, and methodologies. Each day consists of presentations, panel discussions, new equipment/technology demonstrations, and information sharing.
Last year's NLIT Summit was the best to date, with more than 125 exhibitors and 400 attendees. We'll build on last year's successes at a new venue – the Boise Centre in Boise, ID – with participants from across the DOE complex. Past summits have included the following personnel:
Vendors should expect 2019's Summit to have the strongest participation from the local hosting facility, Idaho National Laboratory (INL). Though most well-known for its nuclear projects, INL also heavily researches control systems cybersecurity, as well as energy and environment projects (including bioenergy, biological systems, robotics and hybrid energy). INL conducts high-impact research and development and recently won 4 prestigious "R&D 100" awards.
To change the world's energy future, the DOE Laboratories will need to maintain its rapid-fire pace. They'll be looking for your products and services to help them. Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet these top DOE professionals face to face! Register now.
